At Custom Wood Pet Portraits, we believe your pet is more than just an animal — they’re family. Our mission is to transform the love, personality, and spirit of your cherished companion into timeless wooden works of art that you’ll proudly display for years to come.
Founded by artist Curtis, Custom Wood Pet Portraits grew out of a lifelong passion for art and animals. From drawing animals in elementary school to countless visits to the Pittsburgh Zoo, Curtis has always been inspired by the beauty and character of the animal world. Years of dedication to artistic craft led him to develop a patent-pending wood art process that brings out striking detail — especially in fur and texture — in every portrait. His patent pending wood technique brings pets to life in a way that goes beyond traditional portraits.
Each piece starts with your pet’s photo and becomes a unique hand-carved masterpiece, crafted from natural white birch hardwood and finished with premium wood stains and custom framing — ready to hang in your home. Whether your pet is a loyal dog, graceful cat, playful rabbit, or any other beloved companion, we’ll capture their personality with care, precision, and heart.
We work closely with every customer — from selecting the perfect photos and personalization options to choosing stain colors and frame details that suit your space. Every portrait is handled with the same attention and passion as if it were for our own pets.
